Here's some pics of my motive power. Planning on depicting the Moffat route during the D&RGW/Southern Pacific days.
These are all in various stages of superdetailing, all are athearn BB kits.
The undec geep will be getting custom painted and decaled in D&RGW when I have time, all the detail parts and decals are on hand.

That is a sweet collection of motive power. I hope to see a few of those pictured with scenery behind them.

Look at all those BB kits. It's a shame they aren't making them any more.

I happen to have about 7 more in BN, 5 units of "yellow peril" and 2 more SW's one each BN and UP.
I've had about 8 loco's since my teens, the rest I collected over the last 2 years grabbing the occasional deal on ebay or at the shows. It's sad that they are discountinued, hopefully the tooling is saved and put back to use when things brighten up a bit.

I got an old bayliner boat so I was "missing" for awhile this summer. Ended up having to do a bunch of defered maintenance but ended up getting the boat fully equipped for the bay for about $3200 with kicker motor depth/fishfinder poles and holders and an extra parts outdrive...Killed some fish and had some good times this summer.
Now that the cold icky 8am-4pm of daylight times are here it's train time again. I'll have some days off thru the holidays and then some vacation in January, so I'm hoping to get some more detailing done. With the house still up for sale I'm not comfortable assembling the spare room module and reconnecting it with the garage....but maybe that would get murphy's law to kick in and the place would sell...

Do you have a trackplan for your Moffat Route layout? I'm working on a rough attempt at modeling the line from above El Dorado Springs to the East Portal with a generic yard at one end. It will be loop to loop with a hidden reverse loop with a couple of staging tracks inside/under the mountain on the peninsula that will have Pinecliffe on one side and the East Portal on the other side.

I don't have a plan yet, it's going to come down to the space availiable so I haven't done much more than saved some favorites in google earth. I really like the gore canyon area, it has some awesome scenery with some steep cliffs that would take floor to ceiling+ to model in scale.
My dream is to have a 2-story pole building put up and use the upstairs for a layout. Stairs would rise up in the center such that the layout would go around the walls with some jetty's out into the center as well.....with the economy where it is who knows though...I may have to continue on my little generic layout I have now, or worse case purchase a retired ocean freight container if we get another place and the building isn't in the budget....
