I'm please to announce my new range of "all brass" switchers in Z scale.
The first models will be the EMD SW1 (Monon, Penn Central, Pennsylvania, Norflok Southern) and the SW9 (Pennsylvania, NYC, Penn Central). You can find more informations on my web pages HUET - Z Scale Models

I have tried to keep the prices in USD as low as possible, but I'm a french supplier and I work in the euro land ...

    Production will start in december.

Super, is there no room for a decoder, because current z scale decoders are pretty small.

Perhaps in the cab, under the roof .Actually there is a "heavy" piece of white-metal . I'll try to modify a decoder, but the main problem with this small model is the lack of weight. The truck under the cab is powered, not the other, so I have to put the maximum weight inside the cab ... and a decoder is not a heavy piece.

In that case, why cant you installed the decoder on the long hood. I think the new TCS Z2 would be a good candidate. Its only 7mm wide.

    John,

just guessing, from my experience with Faulhaber Motor and space from my NW5 project, there will be not a millimeter of air to install a decoder under the long hood.
A clear indicator that there is no space at all is that only the rear truck is powerd.

Exactly : there is no place, just 1 mm clearance ... The "SW" are very smaller than GP35 and others (I have drawn my model exactly to scale).

The SW900 has be asked by a modeller who wants canadian models, so I have added it on the list (it's easy to built different versions). The price is $50 higher because the painting is more complicate and take more time.

The order sheet is now up-dated.
