I'm still trying to figure out how I goofed, (actually, I think I know), but I have 4 extra 2'x8' sheets of 2-inch blue foam. If anyone in the SF Bay Area is interested, please PM me. I would rather these find a good home and use, rather than sit in the garage waiting for the day that I "might need it" (as so much else out there sits for, in some cases, 26 years and counting -- I really need to clean out the garage).

Me too. And the shed (so it can go away...) I wish I could help with your problem, but Georgia is impractical. :)

I think I'll start a new topic on my frustrations/issues.

You may want to contact the Peninsula N Trak group. They are looking at moving to the lightweight foam modules.

I am in Sacramento with no way to bring them back, or I would help you out.

Good suggestion, David, I'll see if I can make contact with them.

Hmmm, a drive up to Sacto, lunch at the Cajun/Creole restaurant in Old Town, right near the Train Museum....

I am going to post a link on our club's Yahoo group. Several of our members are building modules right now, and I am in Fremont, so can pick it up easily.

I still can't believe how hard some of you folks need to look for this stuff. It's in pretty much every home center up here, and our winters aren't much harsher than Bay Area winters.

I'll take them - I can come down and get them (I am in San Leandro) tomorrow or next week during the day - or a week from Sat in the AM (10/10).

I know - but it isn't around. My office is right above a Depot and they don't have it any more.

I keep saying that maybe I just need to fill up a trailer with this foam and make a Mission of Mercy to help out all my California RR modeling brothers and sisters.

    Hi,

Can we split it two sheets each for Don and the Bay Area Z Scale Module Cooperative? I'm building ten moduleZ alone, and we have more than that in progress. I can come get them either tonight, Saturday evening, or anytime Sunday or later.

    ThaNkZ!

    If Don is willing....

Actually, I had little problem finding the foam. The Union City Home Depot, on Industrial (at the 880-Whipple exit), has a complete supply of pink-foam, and I got the blue foam from Pacific Supply Lumber. I ordered from the San Jose location, but it actually came from their Oakland store - they delivered for free!

Darn, I was at work, and within minutes of me posting on our BAZ Yahoo group, 20 posts screaming "Get 'Em!" "Get 'Em now"!

I just now looked to see if they guys wanted it, and yes they do. Oh well... Where did you order it from, as our club found it VERY HARD to find?

Oh, I see your post, thanks for the info!

    Robert,

    See my immediately above post:

Here's the PacSupply page, with address and phone numbers for their locations.

At the Union City HD, go in the lumber entrance, then go all the way to the back, where the cutting area is. They have racks of pink foam, there. And, if we all keep buying it, then they'll keep stocking it!

Can you make a run to Texas while you're at it? Please?!?
