OK, there is an issue that the staff has been struggling with for many hours. One of the rules that has been on Trainboard from the very beginning is that if a person is banned from the board for whatever reason, they can only return after amends have been made and after approval from the Administrators. There are a number of folks here that have done just that and are back on Trainboard after being banned. When a person is discovered to have re-registered under a new name without approval they are automatically banned again. We have had a number of folks do this also in the past. It makes no difference if they are accomplished modelers and have much to contribute, they have to follow the rules. Unfortunately we noticed that a member who was banned two years ago broke the rules and had to be dealt with in the consistent manner that we have always dealt with such cases. We apologize for the unfortunate way things unfolded.
What gives? Hold on there Kemo Sabe. There is another picture missing by a Trainboard member who is not banned and I'd like to hear your explanation as to why?
I will check to make sure I didn't accidently remove an entry before the poll is openned as the only entry being DQ'ed is David's as a matter of TB Policy. :tb-confused: :tb-confused: :tb-confused: :tb-confused:
?????????????????? Where did the amazing Z Scale photo of the track, depot and signal go? I could not believe it was Z scale. Was it the winner of the contest that ended on the 14th? It sure looked to me to be an example of what we are all trying to achieve.
Thanks for the info. Banned from the board? Sounds like homeland security and rail photography. I'm not sure which photo belonged to who, but I will make sure to stay away from amazingly good but dangerous Z scale modelers with fake names.
I just want to say that the "banned" member was not using a fake name. In fact his new user name was his full legal name.
To be clear, nobody was charging that anyone was using a fake name, only that TB policy regarding reinstatement of banned members had been violated. This is not a slam on a particular scale or a judgment of the modeling efforts. The consistency with which these rules are enforced is important. The prospective returning member did not patch things up with the administrators so he is, for now anyway, still banned. I want to direct people to the purpose of this thread, which is showcasing trackwork. If you have any specific concerns regarding TrainBoard policy, please address them to an administrator or staff member or visit our Support Forum. Thank you, Adam
Yeah, Charlie, the head Administrator on this board is one of those Z scale modelers. Unfortunately on any internet forum, things tend to spiral downward unless rules are set up. They must be enforced consistently across the board no matter what scale or level of modeling skill. There have been folks from HO and N scales that have met similar fates.

Russel, Thank you for the clearing up my initial query about the lost photos. As an admin/moderator at Z Central Station you might imagine the behind the scenes issues I've dealt with over this issue. Ok.. well I'm back from class and what a show. It's unfortunate to see some entries go, but reasons have been stated and now its time to get on with the contest. The poll will be up shortly.
Ok folks, the poll is posted. I'd like to ask that you go back and review the entries before you vote as two entries have been pulled. I'm trying to avoid using the Florida ballot confusion as a point of what could happen, but I cant think of a better way.
1st place has a long lead, but second place is inching his way forward. Still 4 days left, a lot can happen still. Vote vote vote!
