For all of you modeling the Canadian Pacific during the 1920-mid 1980 era, Kaslo Shops has
Just released an N Scale Caboose ("Van" up here in Canada) kit in 5 different styles, ranging
from Tongue & Groove to Plywood (modernized) side and different styles of Cupola.
The kits are cast resin, less trucks, couplers, paint and decals with photo etched doors,
windows, brake wheels and end railings.
They list at $39.95 Cdn (about $25.00 US, given the current exchange rate).
I am working on my first one (first 6?), however, Jeff Briggs (Who did the artwork, masters
and molds) brought an assembled and painted one into Pacific Scale Rail in Victoria to run
on the small display layout in the window and it looks great  .

    (No affiliation to Kaslo Shops)

    Cheers.

Oh wow...tell me you don't live in Victoria?
I never run in to locals on train forums...

I am indeed from the Greater Victoria area. I (currently) live in Saanichton, but will be moving up to Shawnigan Lake this summer when my new house is completed. [IMG] :D  [IMG] :D
There are a few of us on Trainboard and it is good to see more coming on board.
    Cheers!

All there kits seem to be really good. If they ever do anything in my era that I want I will be sure to buy one, as they are a decent price too! Last Saturday when I was working we had about 20, today we had 4!

Ok, as a modeller of the ACL (which NO ONE has ever made an N scale caboose for) living at the other end of the continent (Florida), how do I get ahold of one of these?

I'll vouch for the fact that these kits look awesome! I have really wanted to get one, but I don't model Canadian roads! :(
