Hi Paul. I was gonna' print out the modeller's card off of the CRF website, and it's from the 2008 show! Will they change it, or should I just make my own?
Anyone have any more info? I've requested the time off work, so I'll be there with my MILW Z-scale stuff!:teeth:
We should have more details available later this month. We're planning to meet next week to plan the event in a little more detail. We plan to have Saturday devoted to model displays and modeling-related presentations, with historical presentations and slide shows on Sunday. Because of the room size, we plan to do preregistration this year. Paul
Pre-registration form Attached is the pre-registration form for the meet. Note that we have a arranged for a tour of the MILW grade in the City of Seattle watershed west of Cedar Falls for Friday, October 2. We can only take 30, so sign up soon if you want to go on this tour. Thanks, Paul
Count me in for missing it as well. I blew all my vacation time racing across america on a bike in June... On another note regarding MilWest... What is up with their web site? There is no links to joining the organization etc...
MilWest isn't really a membership organization anymore since they discontinued the Dispatch. There isn't really anything to 'join', but I think if you contact them they'll add you to their mailing list for when they do have events. Dispatch
Paul, Do you have any recommendations for accommodations. Just in case I can make it, I am looking around. I don't require much. I like clean sheets and a clean bathroom. Adam
I don't know much about the lodging options out there, but I think this place is the closest: Edgewick Inn. More choices are available down the hill in Issaquah: Issaquah Chamber of Commerce
I think this place is the closest one. It's one exit to the east on I-90. Edgewick Inn. More options are available down the hill in Issaquah: Issaquah Chamber of Commerce People heading east on Sunday may want to consider the Iron Horse B&B in South Cle Elum: http://www.ironhorseinnbb.com/
Adam- Unless something new has been built, North Bend does not really have much to offer. Yes. There are several small motels. Myself, I would not recommend any of them. The Edgewick Inn, is at the Seattle East Truck Stop. May not be a thrill for non-truckers. I get a kick out of their claim it's ten minutes from the Snoqualmie Summit Skiing. It is closer to a twenty mile drive up that way, unless you can do 100+ mph. There is the Summit Inn atop Snoqualmie Pass. West of North Bend is the new Casino Snoqualmie site. But if accomodations there such may be pricey. As is the Salish at Snoqualmie Falls. There are a few rooms in Fall City. There is a Holiday Inn and a Motel 6 at Issaquah. But I will also note that October 2-4, about one mile away, will be a fair sized powerboat race... Not sure how that might effect room availability. Otherwise, on west to the Bellevue/Eastgate area....? Boxcab E50
Got it. I don't mind a run-of-the-mill motel, I just like to stay away from no-tell motels and places that don't wash or clean. Thanks for the information!
Luckily I dont have to worry about lodging. I only have to drive down the hill about 2 miles. But I dont think I will be able to attend this year. If I could attend it would ONLY be on Sunday.
That was my situation with the N Scale Collectors - I was about four or five miles away and couldn't make it. It looks like I am going to miss this one, too. Every time I get a little ahead something comes up. Right now, it's the heating system.
