Has anyone heard one way or the other if MicroTrains plans to offer lo pro wheelsets in bulk packs?

In the past I have purchased my trucks/couplers in the 10 pack, and the low pro wheels in bulk. Now that my fleet is essentially converted, I realize that it seems to be slightly less expensive to simply purchase the individual wheelsets with lo pro wheels rather than the bulk pack and the lo pro wheels separately. As an added bonus, the time to change out the wheels is gone this way. Pricing was based on 4Nscale.com, not list. Am I off base?

Also, what to do with all the extra axles?

How about putting them in your junk yard?

Are you talking about excess MT modern standard (axles)wheel sets? I still use them. [IMG]

Yes, the standard "pizza cutters" -axles only, not the trucks.

I considered putting some in a junk pile, but after converting ~100 cars, the junk pile is out of scale...not to mention all the rapido extras.

I sent an e-mail to them a long time ago asking if they had plans for some type of recycling program, where we could just send them the old wheel sets.

I've misplaced the response, but it was basically, "let me ask someone here about that". Unfortunately, I've never received an update...

And since I lost the reply, I can't remember who to follow up with... [IMG]

Wonder how they would react to receiving many boxes of pizza cutters in the mail???

I made a two tier load of wheels on a flat car. About 40 sets to fill a 50' flat car. I use the MT pizza cutters on my unit trains.
