Is there a way to get a better CSX logo to choose from? This plain black one stinks for a class 1 railroad.LOL...
It may be boring, but it's a direct knock-off of the CSX logo I saw on an autorack just yesterday. You might have to take it up with CSX's advertising department and see if they can get a more interesting logo. I don't know how you do CSX without just simply matching the typeface and making CSX. There's no shield or swoosh or horse or anything. Most of the really swoopy avatars you see here, as you probably already know, are custom ones that are available to members who choose to become subscribers. Enjoy, Adam
Yea I have a custom made one for my N scale but I was just thinking of maybe doing a blue square with yellow CSX letters in it or something like that.Just throwing it out there.
Most of these stock avatars are polished up by a volunteer here on TrainBoard. He has been busy with a new job, lately, but maybe he can work up your suggestion. I could never figure out why CSX chose that name. I would have come up with something a lot longer.
If you become a TrainBoard Constributor / Supporter you could have your custom one turned into a Avatar that you can display proudly!!! :tb-wink: :tb-wink: :tb-wink: :tb-wink:
I sent Steam Donkey a PM a few days back, but I must assume he hasn't seen it. I have been a contributor for some time, but I can't seem to effect a custom logo...the factility is not apparently afforded to me in my profile settings. Would someone please help me out? Many thanks.
Crandell- A custom avatar will need to be uploaded here at TrainBoard. Contact: support@trainboard.com Boxcab E50
Crandell I have requested an Avator request for you, once I get that done then I will give you an area to update you ideas pictures etc, so the graphic artist can create this for you I
Crandell... I didn't get your PM. Did you send it to SteamDonkey74 or to that other ID that has "steam" and "donkey" in the title? It sounds like Owen is getting your request into the pipeline. They do a good job on these custom avatars.
Umm...I may have sent it to the wrong person. I checked to see if the status of the person was an administrator, and I seem to recall seeing the rubric stating that the person was an admin. Now I am confused. In any event, I have my answer and am grateful for the timely responses. :tb-biggrin: I can be patient.
You know, now that I think about it, I was wrong...it was a message to Pete Nolan...I'm pretty sure. Sorry for all the confusion. I do know the user name indicated that the person was an admin for the forum. Too much time at the computer these days jumping from place to place, and between work, emails, and sites. I need a life!
You should now be able to access an additional forum under support named Avatar Construction Zone, Post your ideas thoughts, and sample pictures and Jake will attempt to get this sorted out for you.
