Any subjective opinions on how the sound on these Athearn Soundraxx Tsunami's sound, compared with the Loksound 3.5 in the Precision Craft Models first run E7s? Many of us have those PCM first run E7s and would love to know.
After giving mine a workout on the weekend I think the sounds are excellent. The only two minor gripes I have are that they have fantastic sounding engine startup sounds but no function keys to start up and shut down the engine, that I have yet to find reading through the manual anyway, like MRC decoders have, you have to shut off power to the track and switch it back on to hear the engine start up. The second is Athearn's not including the extra two light functions in their N scale models, a working beacon would really finish off the FP/F45's.
This the N scale part of the board, so you have little chance to get an answer about HO stuff. :tb-wink:
