I was wondering if there was any ntrak shows planned this year with the Nscale convention being in portland, OR? 3000+ miles is a little too far to drive this year.
Welcome to trainboard. I have not heard of any big NTRAK conventions out your way for this year. I checked the Northern Virginia site and they list a lot of train shows but no major NTRAK conventions.
On May 2-3 in Columbus, OH will be the first Ohio version of the N Scale Weekend. Aug 29-30 is the date for the original N Scale Weekend in Bedford, PA. These are not Ntrak per se as they do include modular layouts that are not built to Ntrak specifications. Also they differ from the usual train show as the emphesis is on the layouts and not the venders. That being said there will be some venders at each and usually some good deals are to be had. This will be the first year for the Columbus, OH event but this year will be the fifth year for the Bedford, PA event. Multiple layouts at each site. I understand that the Ohio group has obtained a second building to house the layouts. If you have a module or two you can bring those and hook up with another club. If not then just bring something to run. You can run on any layout.
