Having recently converted from HO to N, I am suffering from a severe lack of imagination. I have room for an L shaped layout 30" x 80" along one arm and a 36" x 48" extension. I am looking for a decent track plan, something likea folded dogbone on 2 or 3 levels. I like to watch em run, not much for switching or fiddle yards so a small yard or several passing sidings would do. Big on tunnels and bridges, mountainous scenery, and would prefer something that can be split into 2 loops so I can run 2 trains at once. Tried different track planning programs, that only resulted in something indescribable, an Italian pasta chef wouldnt be able to figure it out.....if someone has any ideas or plans and would like to pass them along, I would be eternally grateful..........Cheers!

    See "Help", N Scale

Seems there's a good discussion with regard to this same request over on the N scale board.

    Bud,

You will get good answers wherever you post here.

    Have fun!

Bud, can you post for us how you're thinking about setting your boards up so we can get an idea of the area we're looking at for a layout. I've got some ideas, but it'd be good to see what we'll be working with.

Here is a link to Mikes Small Trackplans. He has several door sized layouts that you could modify. I think the layout is done with Atlas RTS software which is free from the Atlas website.

    Hope this helps.
