    Steam locomotive parts

    Needed for steam "kitbashing":

Headlights: IC, SP, etc. type, GN, NP, etc. type, PRR type, carbon arc type.
Air compressors: Westinghouse cross compound, NY Air Brake Cross compound, 8" and 11" single lung.
Feedwater heaters: Worthington BL, Worthington SA (2 pcs.), Elesco Bundle (3 pcs.)
Bells: boiler top, angled on front, angled on right or left side.
Power reverses: Alco, Baldwin and Lima
    Injectors: lifting and non-lifting

Specific cylinders and trailing trucks would be nice, but would have to be too model specific.

I'll second the request for highly detailed steam locomotive parts many of which have been already mentioned in this thread.

There is also a need for SP light packages as well as detail parts for SP diesels. I still have an adequate supply of SP detail parts from Sunrise but that supply of parts needs to be replenished at some point in time.

I would love to see some PRR / PC / CR cab signal boxes. The Sunrise part is really missed.

James, are you serious? Wow, that sure would be super!

I just looked on their website, and couldn't find them. I did do a google search and found a pdf of theirs with the beacons listed, but I'd like to see a picture of 'em first. Do you have any?

Let's see how well these came out.

The one on the left is the Deluxe Innovations Amber version as delivered. The one on the right is the Sunrise Enterprise as delivered. I didn't file the DI flat, that's why it's sitting a little off center. A little silver paint around the base would greatly improve the look.

Stock numbers 991102 (clear) and 991202 (amber).

Walthers shows them in stock, so most hobby shops can get a hold of them.

I'll fourth it! I would buy SP lights based on weight, not number :)

The DI one looks almost exactly like the Atlas one, which is also available on their site.

What both of them need is a tiny little washer to sit on top of.

Is the DI beacon larger than the Atlas? I have some Atlas beacons (more like strobes considering their size) which are too small for representing, say, a Stratolite.
The clear DI's with the washer as suggested by Ben would be great for Soo units.

I've tried what J.B. posted with the ring around the Atlas Beacon, and it just doesn't look right. They are just too darn small. I'd have to see a side by side of the DI and Atlas beacons, but from the pics that Brian posted, they look about the same size. And Brian, thanks for the photos!

Why did Sunrise have to go under?!? :(

Which leads to - why hasn't the product line been taken up by someone else?

    Molds must be around

I would say a good place to start would be contact Dan Crews or Sunrise and get the molds the work is done and your ready to sell . Just add to his line and you would be better of and so would the dealers and customers . I sold his parts in Canada and he was great to deal with , even made some CN special Items for me

My understanding is that Mr. Crews has been contacted before regarding the molds. I don't think he's interested in selling for whatever reason. I would agree Dave... and I'd love to explore that option.

In the meantime, assuming he's not open to selling or licensing the molds, then originals would have to be created.
