Way back when I was in high school, I started modeling Santa Fe in N Scale. I had the Atlas Rivarossi heavyweight cars for a passenger train but I wanted a streamliner. Arnold had the shorty cars but I could only afford so much. So I repainted and "detailed" a few UP Lone Star 000 cars and scratch built a baggage car. I came across this old train in a box the other day so thought I should take a photo. ;)

Wow, awesome stuff. I almost expect to see Al Capone step out of a doorway of one of the buildings.

I started this project about twenty years ago. Worked on it for about two weeks and that was it.

The black and white shots are great! Very authentic looking

For those who go for the cracked paint effect, I finally have a camera that can focus in close enough to show it. What you'll see in the second photo is on this RailBox car.

Running Bear, that is fantastic. I won't ask you how you did it because I know I'll never do it, but I'm in awe of your ability.

Had the great pleasure of sharing dinner last night with William Cowie and his
wife (they were in town on business). After that, William came over and we
ran on the Santa Fe Peavine Line together.

Having so much fun, I forgot to take a picture of William with a big
    grin running trains.

But it was a great time. I'm thankful to have such good model railroad friends. William,
great to see you again, nice to meet your wife, and thx for the friendship.

Here's a picture of William and me from a year and a half ago:

    45 + 45 = 90 RIght?

Heres some shots for the weekend. I had two Atheran R-T-R SD45s, and then a project loco that I've been working on since Dana (Rail Poer Products) came out with the SD90 shells back in the mid 90s.
