The crud looks pretty even...might just be because of the size of the picture. Its on the wheel face and on the flanges, so it could be new.

Seeing that "B" unit as it was, I'd sure wonder about the "A" unit condition. But someone wanted it, as the item shows sold.

Well... I'm still amused by the amount of money some folks are willing to pay for some Classic Metal Works vehicles. In particular... the US Mail trucks and 1955 Chevy police cars.
As of yesterday... the pair of US Mail trucks was at $36.01; and, the 1955 Chevy police cars were at $41.01... both still counting until tonights climactic showdown which may set new records for these models.

Yep - I was thinking that maybe the mechanicals of those particular models might have been considered desirable as good runners or whatever, but I agree with you - I wouldn't think they would be worth anything much either, based on the shell condition. But wait! ... didn't the seller say they ran well?

I had watches on them for my own amusement... final answer was...

    US Mail Trucks: $38.50
    Police Cars: $44.00

I don't think that was the all time record, and I'm not ungluing mine from my layout, either...

If yours runs, it's probably worth double that! If it has an engineer waving from the cab window, an easy five grand. Ha ha.

I made the jerk a "$1" offer, and told him he should be ashamed of himself!!..........and THAT was @ the "sale" price of $31.64. He has since let that expire, and the price is back up to $49.99!! People like that REALLY give "Evil-Bay" it's well deserved reputation for crooks.
Of course, he has not bothered to respond to my "offer"........wonder why????

If you think that guy's pricing is high, you should try buying parts for a 1984 Porsche 944. OMG!!!! You'd think the part was made of pure gold!

Look at his completed auctions. He sells most everything he lists for high prices. Unbelievable.
