Hi N Scalers, We have now released the 1884 B&O Railroad, Oakland, MD Depot. It is photo etched brass. This is an advanced craftsman's kit that is very rewarding to build. Check it out at http://www.micronart.com/2091_Oakland_Depot.html Feel free to comment. Reynard Wellman http://www.micronart.com
I'm a transplanted west coaster living in Ohio (and modelling California) now, but if I were to model an eastern line, it would be the B&O West End. I railfanned it a couple years ago and it's awesome. I had the good fortune to chase an eastbound coal train from Grafton to Cumberland on a beautiful fall day, it was one of the best days I've ever had railfanning. Your depot is spot on -here's a photo I took of a eastbound passing it in Oct 06:
Thanks Dave, your photo is very fine. Yes, many freights pass by this station every day and a good photo of this juxtaposition is worth taking note of! I've spent many months researching and designing this product and am now licensed by the B&O Railroad Museum, Baltimore MD, to use their materials for additional projects.
