I'm slowly working on a smallish L-shaped shelf switching layout with a steel mill theme. Unfortunately, the operation aspect gets stale unless there's something "driving" the economy and giving me a reason to shuffle cars around. Is there a program out there that can compute imformation and dictate what cars need to be moved from point A to B, essentially giving me orders for rolling stock based on demand? How do others here manage this aspect of the hobby? I'm not sure if this is posted in the right place, but I am interested in finding a program of this kind. Thanks,
Well, I think I'm getting warm; I found this: http://www.decapodsystems.com/index.html Their 'PRR' software seems like what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any experience with it?
I have a small "L" shape switching layout as well and I use "Shipit" software from Albion. http://www.albionsoftware.com/ It really does make your operations come alive. Best money I have spent in awhile. I am not affiliated with them at all, just quite pleased with their software. Cheers Edward
