I just would like to see what Zephyrs people would like to see made.

I would like to see all of them but..... I could live with these

    1956 Denver Zephyr
1936 Denver Zephyr to make twin cities zephyr and other pool cars.
General Pershing Zephyr because of Silver Charger with the E8 style trucks.
    1949 Pioneer Zephyr

    Mark Twain Zephyr?? maybe

Zephyr-Rocket with one set of equipment for both roads.

    Zephyrs

The 1956 version of the Denver Zephyr in HO would be my choice. I have the PCM version of the California Zephyr with power for all three roads.
Maybe PCM could make the DZ since they did such an excellent job on the CZ.

How about none of the Zephyr's.
Lets see the NCL or Hiawatha, or even the City of Portland.

I had the same idea but you beat me to it. I was going to say the El Capitan or Texas Chief though.:tb-biggrin:

The General Pershing Zephyr would be good, especially if the Silver Star is also available on its own (it still runs on its own in Australia - would go well with a BHP Billiton SD70ACe!).

    Cheers

    How about all the Zephyrs.

I agree. 1956 Denver Zephyr and 1949 Pioneer Zephyr.
General Pershing Zephyr would be different.

Anything, as long as it is accompanied by E5 A/B units. As we've already estabished on another thread, wheelbase, height, overall length are identical to the existing Kato E8/9 mechanism. Mill down the frame halves and cast a new shell and viola! I'll meet them at Union to hold the other end of the tape measure for any missing data..... :)

EMD E5ABA sure comes up allot. Kato you better make this so we stop talking about it. :tb-tongue: Do you think they really look at these posting sites?? I want E5's also... I love the nose on those and the fluted sides. You can have 3 full ABA sets with different names on them all. I guess it depends on how much they are if I will buy multiples of them. Well maybe I would anyways.

Yes again for the E5's. I would spend way to much on those. I would make the whole fleet of E5's. I hope Kato would put the full hand rail on the engine. especially the ones on the hood. I want to put those on all my CB&Q E-units.

More than that John! Plus you can have C&S and FW&D varients, as well as the black (yes!) and chinese red (still good) nose stripes.

Kato: if you're listening, I promise to never bug you again if you make E5's

....except maybe for the NCL :)

Jack keep bugging... you're a good man. We'll get those E5's soon. With black nose strips. How could Kato not make them.

I've been busy trying to talk to Concor about the '49 Pioneer. I'm waiting for them to say they will do this version. Sorry kids no kits as I posted before. I keep looking at mine and wishing it had those '49 features. Someone make glue on peaces.

I would like to see Kato do all of the Zephyrs with E5's as sets

Most of these Zephyrs were NOT very long consists were they?

Kato could practically package an E5 A/B set with the whole consist of some of these shorter 5-6 car Zephyr trains. Probably could sell the set at $349 MSRP... discounted at ~ $250.

They could do one different Zephyr train per year for the next 5 years (at least)... and probably make a killing!
