I think Con Cor should make a later 1949 version of the Pioneer Zephyr. The 1949 PZ had cab roof vents (1938) and Mars light (1949). This would go better on most layouts that have 50ish themes. Maybe we should bug them to make this. What do you think?

Or should they just sell a kit to make the current model into a 1949 version? New roof for engine and observation. hummmm

I think it would be cheaper for all concerned to design a "kit".

I have the 1936 Burlington Route version and the Silver Streak version. I would prefer a kit like Tudor said. But I would buy another version also. I love the stainless steel look on the tracks. :tb-embarrassed::thumbs_up:

I just put a request in to Concor, as some of you have been doing, to please make a kit or rerelease of the pioneer zephyr. The 1949 version with cab roof vents added in 1938 and mars lights added in 1949. This would go great with the 50's theme but sell with 4th car.

Then produce, General Pershing Zephyr, 1936 Denver Zephyr or Mark Twain Zephyr.

I had to just send a email sense they don't have a suggest a model link.

Just thought about the Flying Yankee. hmmmm

I'll suggest Concor to make a "1949 kit" otherwise release the 1949 version. I heard they thought about a 1949 verion but that was a few years ago. It would not be that many changes to make it. New packing to fit the fourth car in there.
