After browsing Terry Redekers site it really showed how great MKT locomotives look. Have there ever been any MKt locomotives made ready to run or are they only custom paint jobs. What locomotives did MKT use? GP40's and dash 2s?

Here is a picture courtesy of Terry's website http://www.geocities.com/marktomer/index.html

Thanks I did check the Atlas site and they do have some in stock although they are asking $90 for them which i feel is a little expensive especially after you convert it to Australian dollars

Katy did someone say Katy hey there are a lot of Katy things out there but Atlas only painted the GP40 and nobody else saw fit to do the same. The GP7 they did would have looked nice painted JD Green and Yellow as well as Life-Likes GP38/-2 or Bachmann's GP40 or SD40-2.But nooo ,its real easy to paint the Katy scheme if you can get the microscale decals and some Floquil MKT green #110320 (gloss) or even the old JD Green and a few good pics. The roster in the late 70's to the end of time. Mainly EMD's with a few rebuilt Alco's and were talking GP7's,38's,38-2's,38AC's GP40's,GP39-2's,SD40-2's and RS3m's rebuilds. The switcher were almost all EMD's or reengined with EMD motors.Almost forgot in the 1980's the last F-units were scrapped I cryed :(
