I wanted to start us out early, as I'm jonesin' to share a shot I got last night.
The Milwaukee Road depot in Great Falls is one of a few grand brick MILW depots ever built. It is still in use by various Great Falls businesses, and looks fantastic.

The last light of the day, coupled with storm cloud skies, bathe the depot in a wonderful glow that reflects off the mighty Missouri River:

The refinery local has finished servicing the facility, and waits at the yard wye in Great Falls yard:

An uncommon way to load piggyback trailers! I believe this portable TOFC ramp was acquired from the FEC. It is now stored at Paducah KY on the P&L Railway.

Need to get up to the P&L yard next time I'm in Bowling Green for the summer, Chad! That's awesome. What kind of traffic do they have?

Nothing from me, I have no layout.

    Great lineup of photos.
Matthew you could always build a diorama. ....speaking of which, here's mine with a full-width mirror placed at the far end, just for fun.

I say a turntable, based on the round bowl, the motor, and metal shapes...

It's that time of year--build a ball park! a Little League park will fit in a small corner.

Well, not quite... It'll make the same movement as a turntable, but, I wouldn't put a locomotive on it.... Not at 500-1000 RPM...

Ok, ok, It's my $30 attempt at making a "spin caster." Waiting for the shop to get a bull gear in stock so i can start building it. The workings will be contained within the "salad bowl." The bowl will be mounted in a box-like enclosure along with the power supply/regulator.

    A Long Way From Home

This was taken in Braintree, MA. I believe the "Columbia and Cowlitz Railway" is in Washington though I could be wrong. The car to the right is labled "TROX". I googled it and found it has something to do with recycleling.

There were also lots of tank cars and I have seen covered hoppers here as well. I am deducing it is a paper plant of some sort.
