    Bachmann GP30

There are three Bachmann GP30's in GN here that have the original Spectrum drive. One has a derailment problem I can't find.
The best one is this one in BN. It has an Athearn BB GP35 drive and handrails. A bit of filing and trimming to get the Bachmann body to fit the Athearn frame but it sure runs and pulls better than the three original Spectrums

I have one Bachmann Spectrum 2-6-6-2 with a DCC card added. It's worked perfectly since purchase.

    Bachmann

I have a couple of Bachmanns, a H16-44 and a GP40. Both are okay and pull decently. Of the locomotives that I currently run, the only real dogs are an Athearn RS3 and a couple of Model Power units. The Athearn does not pull as well as the other RS3s, (Atlas). The two Model Power units are very light. I did some checking after purchasing them and found out that the prototypes never existed.

The only Bachmanns i own are military engines. For my normal railroad engines i use athearns or katos
