Gonna be moving my train stuff over to my other house soon. Noone lives there at the moment, but since it's kinda cold at this time of year, would my stuff be ok if I left it in there? We keep the house pretty well closed up,I'd guess it gets down into the high 40s low 50s inside there at night.

    Dumb question,I know,but I figured I'd ask.

Going to be buying two 6' by 30 inch tables soon to set up a nice kato unitrack layout that'll let me play around without worrying about everything else(scenery and whatnot).

Well, I can't say with absolute certainty. Possibly OK. Myself, I'd hesitate to let things get too cool. However, some modeling supplies, if any, would likely not care for cooler temperatures. Is there any humidity?

I would be more worried about fluctuations in humidity than temperature. Of course, humidity is often affected by temperature swings. If the temperature is rather constant I don't know if I would worry that much.

Now... keep in mind that if you do track work at that temperature that you're likely to have warps if you try to run trains on an 80 degree day.

40-50? I don't know of any supplies that would object to that as a *storage* temp. As for humidity, yeah, I agree with SteamDonkey74 - I'd be more worried about that.. but a little careful packing should take care of that.

If it's worth worrying about.. go buy some disposable diapers. Open as many as you need (please, use unused diapers. Trust me on this) and sprinkle the absorbent compound around inside your storage boxes. Seal the boxes as best you can. The poor man's dessicant should keep the humidity in the stored gew-gaws low enough to prevent unsightly accidents.

I might see if I can leave a small heater going in the room that'll keep the temperature a little higher then when I'm not there. Hopefully by May or so I'll be moved in over there,so this won't be a concern any longer.
