Well one is mine the other is not. The shot of the Dash is coming into Longmont from the North. and then out the window of an SD40 getting ready to leave from Denver Utah Jct in the distance.

BTW when did NS start running DP? When in Galesburg we had to unlink them from loads heading to Chicago for CSX and NS.Only trains that could go DP were ones getting off at Eola on the J. Man how times change.

I caught this BNSF power move passing through the rain in Palisade, CO this weekend.

Later I caught the units parked in the Grand Junction yard.

This unit was hanging and might be still hanging around Scottsbluff, NE
. The last I saw though the units stationed there were the 2342 and 2309. The 2702 might still be around or moved on, different pics I've seen it make some pretty big moves over the system.

Thanks Train Kid! I tried to get the shut closed as the train was entering the crossing but I must have been off by a few nanoseconds.

Hey guys, I finally got some good pics I can add to this thread! I took some time off and visited a friend in LA, and last Sunday, we took a side trip up to Tehachapi. Wow, that place is awesome! Here's a few I got that day.

the 7696 heading towards the BNSF yard in Bakersfield
    [IMG]

as the 7696 passed, you can see the lights of the 7690 waiting to head up the hill.

meeting the 7452 heading towards Bakersfield. I think this is just down from Sandcut.

The sun was almost down by this time, so the pics are a bit grainy. By the time this train hit the loop, it was dark, but a good show nonetheless.

    Great shots Russell and Mike!

    Ralph,

I had hoped to get more shots of the KCS units from a better angel but my blasted batteries died. I'm thinking of going out railfanning next week if work and weather permit. Are you going to be in town next Saturday?

    Geep of the Week

The BNSF local between Parachute, CO and the Landmark fuel storage facility just west of Grand Junction, CO usually runs one four-axle unit and one six axle unit. The six-axle GEVO hasn't changed in a while, but the four-axle power seems to change every week or two (hence the title).

Last week it was this lovely bluebonnet (or is it a yellowbonnet or cub scout?), a GP40X.
