I started with a small diorama when Jeff was visiting me a few weeks ago.
I thought I share with you the progress off that building as it goes along over the Christmas holidays.

I mostly let the pictures speak for them self.
But the layout is about 55x41cm with one manual Marklin turnout inside the mountain.
I plan on putting some laser building kits on it that I among other got from Jeff and some off my own. Will se what happens as I go along with the project.

    Road Bed?

    Torsja,

Did you use any cork road bed or just apply directly to plywood? It looks very good and very realistic!!!

Yeah what every one else has said. At first the hill looks like cake frosting, but by the time it gets colored it is looking like the real thing. I wish I could borrow a cup of motivation from you ; )

I didn't bother with cork roadbed. The Marklin section track is just held down with doubled sided tape. The ballast is gone fixate it in place when I get to it done anyway.

PS: Thanks for the comments guys. :)
