Alpine Models is going to go back into production w/Swift Meat Packing. Does anyone have this on their layout and, if so, how did you locate the building and the offloading stock pens. I'd prefer to use Walthers' Champion Packing, but the foot print is too big, and Campbell's Schrock's is pricey as well as awkward with the long rectangular footprint. Any help?

    Thanks

My meat packing company will not have a stockyards. Meat will be shipped by rail to the plant where it will be processed. I do not have the space for the yards and plant, so I opted for the plant. It's prototypical to move unprocessed meat to a plant for processing. At this point, I do not have a plant so am looking for kits or plans for scratchbuilding.

Let's try this again. Walthers has four kits, sort of, and one of them #181-682 appears to be what you are looking for. I warn you, however, it is VERY pricey.

    Hi..

I do happen to have a Swift Meat Packing in HO, still as a kit.
