i have to get my coaster up on here man is it nice when it is getting pushed by a D&H U33C with three superliners and the coaster cab coach leading it looks like NJT when the Bluebird U-Boats where push/pulling the NJT trains

Picked these up yesterday. I'm most excited about the GP40Xs. The C&NW SD60 has poorly done custom roof beacon and ditch lights. I'm going to correct this sometime before 08 comes to an end.

A new, Kato powered-Stewart U25B arrived last week as well as 3 Northern Pacific hopper cars... But darned if I don't have the numbers on two of them. They're all the same! An undecorated ALCO FB2 arrives any day now and that closes out locomotives for a while. I have way too much painting and detailing to do and I'll be in the "backshop" for the next year if not more...

Thanks RRfan. I'm addicted to C&NW, MP and UP units. Oh and BNSF/SF/BN/ATSF have recently joined the list. I also have this growing liking for SP units with cluster lighting so you know that I'm liking Athearn even better these days:D

    New Stuff

Just bought the GP40X's from Athearn for the Espee collection. There was only four of tehm on the Espee and the elephant ears didn't last but around a year. At the same time I purchaced two wire handrail sets for the GP40 from Athearn as the rubber ones will no doubt fall apart. They are great looking units and run very well. Kadee couplers replaced the Maybe-Mates too.
The BN got some of the Walthers passenger cars for Executive Service. Following the launch of Amtrak BN kept eight cars for use with the business car fleet. The Walthers Empire Builder cars in BN paint are correct for all but two.
I purchaced two Coaches, two "Pass" Pullmans, one Diner, one "River" Pullman and found a Riverossi 10-6 Pullman in BN. Just need a baggage to finish up.

Today, I picked up a blue box 86' boxcar and the Athearn Genesis F7 A-B set in Western Maryland Fireball. They are good, smooth runners.

A new (old) locomotive is on its way to join the fleet. This time, it's a Kato NW2. That rounds out the diesel roster.

    Rolling stock

My most recent additions have been some Proto 1000 50 ft Boxcars and hoppers.
My LHS was not carrying too much of my favorite roads and I do not shop on line. They ordered them in for me and their service was great as usual.

Props to my friends at Pioneer Valley Hobbies in West Springfield Ma.

New on the board here. Should have mentioned that "The Springfield Southern" is a fictional bridge line located in Western Ma. during the PC/Conrail tranisition era.

Most of the power on the line comes from other New England railroads including Conrail. Penn Central, Providence and Worcester, Boston and Maine, Maine Central, New York Central and of course the New Haven.

The operators of the line are cheap, so much of the power is out of era. 50% Alcos with the rest consisting of EMDs and a lone FM.

Rolling stock can come from anywhere but majority is PC, Conrail or the predecessor roads.
