Currently in HS with no job (will by summer) but I am planning on 4 years degree of Civil Engineering at a local college. I would love to work for the railroad, but until the government passes that bill saying that the railroads will have to give their workers fixed schedules, I may as well forget it.
Wow ... this topic has grown to 6 pages already and I had missed all of it. This has really been interesting to read. There are too many to comment on individually but it's really great to find out what everyone does. I am from the Wichita, Kansas area originally and I worked in radio broadcasting there for over 15 years. A few years ago I moved to the border country of Downeast Maine to get out of radio completley and try something else. Anyway, I'm the program director of 3 radio stations heard primarily in the area between Bangor, Maine and St. John, New Brunswick. Charlie

Registered nurse for the last 6 years (Cardiac ICU) after 15 years in the Navy - saw most of the world.
Telecommunication Systems Analyst for the State of Ohio, retired from the U.S. Army in 1998 after 27 years of service. Someone mentioned to stay in school even if you have to do so part-time. Definitely agree with that as I did my first two years full-time and finished off my degree part-time in the evenings.
Captain, US Army. I'm currently stationed at FT Stewart, GA serving with the 3rd Infantry Division. Love the area and weather, hate those pesky sand gnats. Also have the luxery of a CSX mainline less than 100 yards from my apartment with a clear view from my couch... Brian

I'm modeling the NS Decatur to Peoria,IL secondary (just happens to pass about 30 yards behind my house) My time frame is mid to late 1990's (I cant paint, and those BNSF dash-9's in primer look like a good frame of reference!!) I'd model NS c40-9w's in primer if Kato would make the headlight correct!! I'm currently looking for merger partners (read: no time to build a layout, just accumulating rolling stock) Joined BN N-trak last week, looking forward to either buying or building a few modules, and getting some serious run time for the roadrailers!!!.
