Hello all. This is my first topic here, and it is my first repaint. Not close to perfect, but really like the way it came out. It is an old Trix piece, the first N scale locomotive I had. The Santa Fe paint job was getting a little rough, so I decided to redo it in the C&O wave scheme. Still need to wash the grills to tone them down, and get a set of horns for it. Also had to rebuild one side of the front end next to the coupler. Currently am painting a Life Like BL-2 in C&O, mainly because I had the decals left on the sheet! Dave "Sully" Sullivan
Howdy Sully, Welcome to TrainBoard. Looks like you're new to the forums but not new to the hobby, whereas I've been on TrainBoard nearly a year but am still new to the hobby, LOL! I'm about to finally start in a different scale than yours (On30), but I can't resist checking out those F-units, keep 'em coming!
Thanks for the kind words all! And yes, I will have to check out the C&O forum. Need some good reference pics for my BL-2. Sully
Thanks for the compliments, all. I also have a Bachmann Prarie that I removed the UP livery and added C&O to. I know, it is not prototypical and not a real great engine, but I like it. Also have a Bachmann Northern that I am planning on reworking into a Greenbriar. Managed to ruin the paint job (#1) yesterday. Put the silver on a little too heavy and it crazed and checked real bad. Not the first time I have stripped and repainted! Sully
