Well I am home on my 2 week R and R leave. Appreciate all the magazines everyone sent. They are now spread all over Iraq and Kuwait. When I would travel I would usually take 2 or 3 and them dump them off at various termials. Usually were well dog eared when I made return trips. I had about 8 boxes from Wayne at Rio Grande hobbies waiting for me. Was very impressed with the Bachman N&W J series 4-8-4. I plan on re-lettering the tender and auxillary tender for my JSR short line. Will use it to run some excursions from time to time. Also I think I will throw a sound decoder in the tender. Unfortunately we just moved prior to deploying so all my train stuff is packed away and I would be able to work on any projects while I am home.
Hello Tony! Glad to see your getting some R&R!!! Enjoy it, and a big Thank You to you and all the troops.
Back from somewhere hotter than El Paso? :teeth: :teeth: Have fun back in Texas. Going to get some modeling done? :shade: Thanks for what you do.
Tony, Welcome back, if only for a brief period. Thank you for your service to the nation. Pleae take care and be well!
Tony, Could you please (re?) post the address to where we can mail railroad magazines, so that troops serving in Iraq might be able to read them?
Welcome home. Enjoy your R&R. That stands for Rail Roading...right? What would we do without guys and gals like yourself serving our country? Keep it safe and bring it home in one piece.
If your looking for a way to send stuff to the troops here you go. I have done this myself. http://www.komando.com/operationkomando/
Tony, A big THANKS! from a guy who was there in 1991. I know that's not a nice place to be! Even more so now. Enjoy your time off!
Tony: Thank you so much. My sister is there. We worry each and every day. No words can describe the pride we feel for all the troops. Jerry
