Hoping the weather cools some the rest of this week! We had a bad storm and I have several trees down in the yard. One fell very close to the layout garage, but luckily only took out part of a fence. Got a new chainsaw that will be getting some serious use....LOL On a more serious note, I also got the BLMA chain link fence to add to the corner refinery scene. Going to be working on that area during the next couple of days as long as the weather is not too brutally hot! We are suppost to get rain, so that should cool things down. Also got BLMAs new ACI plates for some locomotives. These are really done well. First to get a pair will be an Amtrak F40PH. :)

No! Less trees means less places for the owls to roost in, so they'll be looking for new homes [or sheds, or garages] to roost in.

How about if Jerry ships them your way?

Just be glad you didn't go under water like parts of Georgia. There are still customers without power up here in Ohio after the squall line came through last Friday. Weather events just keep getting more extreme.

LOL Nothing but a few spiders and frogs that can fit under the big sliding door can get in now since I have been 'owl proofing' the garage. :) And several traps around the outside and inside have really limited the mice action too. :)

Yes, that is so true. A good friend of mine works for Alabama Power and went up to Ohio with a convoy to help out.

Yeah, I had water running off the roof and overshooting the gutters. Also had a little water run inside the
house, first time since 1994,that time thanks to tropical storm Alberto.

Jerry, are you cutting gaps yet?

Yes, gaps have been cut.....:) All the new heat kinks were on the new sections of track I just added to double track the SP. I thought I left enough gaps at the joints but there were three areas that kicked out. They are straight again now. :)

I wish you were closer to Birmingham (Pelham). I am scheduled for a clinic for making chain link fence at a future NMRA division meeting this fall or you could stop my the BNSMC meeting room most any Tuesday night for a quickie class.

A couple F40PH's got new ACI tags, and a few commuter coaches got some passengers loaded up. Also started cleaning up the castings on my resin derrick kit. Finally cooling down so I will be working on the layout soon. Good day.....:)

Hey Jerry I haven't seen much for a while on the good ole U50 of yours, is it still alive and kicking?

Hey Mitchell! Yes, its still alive and kicking....in fact just brought it in the house today for possible ACI tags, but the ACI decals I put on it are holding fast. Instead it got a little lubrication and is now resting on the fireplace mantle. One of my favorite models....such a beast. :)

Brought in several Tunnel motors for re-numbering and detailing too. Going to re-number to original numbers to match ones I am running up here on the ATN. :)

I've got a pair here (one SP, one BN) that I've really got no use for anymore. Every time I saw photos of your Whirlybird I couldn't help but drool....such a great looking machine.
