XTrkCAD has a Peco switch library, which you could print. It's free!

Trace around the switch on some heavy cardboard. Cut it out and then you can turn it over for a left or right switch. Mark the center lines.

Beast - photocopy the switches. Take a batch of them (if you have them) to the copy shop, library, work, etc. and go for it. You can get ten or so to a sheet.

I was using ME switch photocopies just last night laying out a plan. Lay out paper to draw on and tape the photocopies in place then draw the connecting centre lines in.

Try your local stockist and see if he has a set of full size templates. Peco do make them on a sheet and, at least they do here in the UK, post them for free if you supply proof of purchase.

I do have a goodly selection that I could try copying and e-mailing to you. I don't know how they would scale back up. Failing that I could post you a selection if you like.

    Just need your address.

    Regards,
    Dave

In UK a stamped, self-addressed envelope will get them free - just ask for which ones you want. I have the complete set If you want to
print out your own, draw a 12" square layout in XTrkcad and set a turnout on it. Do a standard printout using snapshot, setting the scale to 2 - it won't let you set it to 1. The print will be exactly half size. Put it in a copier and enlarge to 200%, then make copies of the enlarged drawing.
You can get more than one turnout on a page. Instant (well almost!) track templates.

    shortliner,
scale to 2.... hadn't thought of that. just tried it, and it actually prints something! do you have to do anything funky with the margins to make sure it is at 1/2 scale? thanks a million

Peco used to provide a page of full sized N track, for use in planning, with their catalog. I have some copies. Have used them for years. Would think possibly they'd have them full size on their web site. Perhaps as a PDF file?

In the back of the the Ntrak module handbook there are templates for all the Peco turnouts and crossings.

Beast - No - just check the printout - if you started with a layout 12 inches square and it shows a square with sides of (actual) six inches, that will be exactly half size.

There is not too much on the Peco website, they prefer to leave things to their dealers ;)
