If anyone attending the show would like to help distribute some flyers for the 2008 National N Scale Convention in Louisville, please contact me for details.

We have downloadable flyers at our convention website http://www.2008-National-N-Scale-Convention.com/ and I can arrange to reimburse you for any expense, but please contact me first.

    Thanks,

    Paul

OK, I'm getting really fired up about the show this weekend!

    Couple of comments...

    1. I look forward to meeting you guys that will be at the show if it can be arranged. I will be wearing my standard train show attire Navy Blue ATARI Shirt which is generally pretty unique. (if necessary, Google Images search for "Atari" and you'll see the logo) So if you see a small guy wearing an Atari shirt, that's NOT me...I'm 6'3" 275lbs. Anyway, just yell at me if you see me at the show. PM or e-mail me and I'll send you my mobile number.

    2. If any of you guys would be interested in getting together for some railfanning or other fellowship (i.e. of the frosty cold brewed barley and hopps variety) I might be game. I'm open Friday evening after 8pm (night before the show) , or Sunday morning. I'm unavailable Saturday night, though. For you guys spending Saturday night maybe we could meet for an early Sunday breakfast and a trip to Saginaw or the like to watch some trains. Just a thought.

    3. Be sure and look at my for sale items...I can bring anything I have left to the show with me for sale or trade. I am a highly motivated seller so make me an offer (money or possible trade) if there are a few items you would be interested in taking as a lot. Let me know by Thursday morning.

Well, I had a great time. I talked to Rich at Digitrax but did not run into anyone else from here. A bunch of went out after the show on Saturday for a meal then to the Fort Worth UP hump yard to watch trains till it was too dark to see.

i made it by 1:00, had a real good time(1st show), all the exhibitions were well done, some simple and others very ambitious. i was impressed. but by 3:45 i was thrashed and i still had to pick up my teenage girl,(who BTW wants to go to the show in temple). who knew? anyway, the only exhibit i couldn't get close to was the disneyland replica or whatever it was, lots of kids both big and small. haha. if someone got pics of that please post them as i did not have my camera with me. thank y'all james nichols

I was there from 1000 to about 1330. I saw Rich, Doug,, Rossford.

Russel was busy cleaning track,So I did not bother him. The large N trak layout was intresting. The modules with the large bridges were nice.

One part the layout had a nice yard with plenty of operations, and a real nice scrap yard and fueling/sanding facilty, don't recall what group that was.

One thing about thew show, putting all the manufactures up front gave a " big impression" but leaving the back corners and back wall empty was a let down,,,, or maybe it was just me.

One thing about train shows , it motivates me to work. One of the stops after the show was Rossford's place to do some more work.

Thanx to Mike D for showing his Southview lines. Excellant job!!!!!

If ya'll saw a guy with a Green bay Packers shirt and a feather river trains hat that was moi.LOL

    Adios Fer now, Wyatt

I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow. I thought I recognized Russells' Sugerland modules. A friend of mine and his wife are members of the NEON group.

Well I said I would try and post some pics of the convention. It was the biggest turnout for a train show that I've ever witnessed.

    Some Z made the trip.

Then there was this 100' X 100' N scale layout that several clubs put together. There was the yard module.

    Sorry I missed you Russell

Then there was a Disneyland module with working coaster and penty of other animation. I heard it took 2 years to build this 6 footer

    and the left side

There were other modular layouts in O, HO & S. Also the manufacturers booths are something you don't see at this level at most train shows

I must admit that I heard radio ads for this show on at least 3 different stations. It was billed as a family affair with 16 and under free and it must have worked because the place was packed. Now the layout that rivaled the N scale in size was for the little ones. Thomas the Tank Engine for everyone. This is the future of model railroading. Help it grow.
