Anyone have any pics of trains along the North Creek branch? I wish I had stopped to take some pics when we used to go by it on the way to our summerhouse near Tupper Lake. I always thought it'd be a great model railroad, with the Hudson right there and the scenery. Perfect for a shelf layout, actually.
Try the Rensaleer club website. They have some detailed info on the North Creek area. http://railroad.union.rpi.edu/ You may have to subscribe but it is relatively cheap and the info is thorough. Get or borrow a copy of "Railroads of the Adirondacks" by Mike Kudish. It has detailed track diagrams of the entire line! If you can ever get to the RPI open house, do so, they model North Creek on the layout. However they model it backwards to fit the layout!
Norht Creek Branch Mike, Here is a link to my web page, hope it helps. Ed BLHS #137 http://home.insightbb.com/~e.seaman/index.htm
Thanks I've been to North Creek and the RPI layout in the past. Thanks for the tips, I'll check them out.
