    Hey Allydude, the layout looks great....

    John; I too like to use the woodland scenics tree kits, but i don't use the bases....i throw them away, and glue the tree in perminatly. Out here in Utah, we don't have trees with such large trunks, and i thought the bases looked out of scale to me. But the way Allydude finished them in looks very good, so i may have to try it.

    Haven't done a lot of work on the layout during the last week or so, but I did manage to build this nifty layout table for it out of 1" x 4" pine board.

    It even has a drawer for the power controllers!

    That's more than Nifty! That's sheer woodworking genius, to turn mere 1x4 pine into furniture grade benchwork like that! [​IMG]
