    Hello
This is my first time post. In the early 90's I have collected Micro-Trains cars. I had them in a display case. I have 2 sets of 89'4" cars with Van trailers. One set had the Vermont Van trailer with MTL 71013 box and the other is a MTL 71014 with a MOPAC van trailer. Could any one tell me what the correct car number would go with sets? I have the cars but not sure in which box they belong.

With the kids out of the house I am looking forward to getting back into N scale railroading. I want to railroad exclusivly in Canadian Pacific and plan on running the cars this time. I work for Canadian Pacific RR so if I help answer any questions I would be glad to.

    thanks

    Brent

I have the 71013 with the Vermont trailer. I don't have the 71014 with the MoPac trailer. The number on my car is TTAX 970257. I put a Post It note with the car number and description in those boxes that don't have the info printed on it. I also indicate the month and year of release.

I bought some of these cars when I had kind of a "subsription" for new MTL models (stopped that after some time):

    71010 TTAX 970253 (empty)
    71013 TTAX 970257 40' Van Vermont Railway
    71014 TTAX 970255 45' Van Mo-Pac
    71015 TTAX 970259 48' Van Western Pacific
71513 TTAX 252650 40' Van Kansas City Southern

I have added a second 40' van to 71013, it even fits into the MTL box with two loads. But it does not work with the longer vans.

All numbers are from my spreadsheet.

    Brent,
on the MTL homepage there is a list of all models ever produced, with roadnumber etc. The url is http://www.micro-trains.com/00_data bases.htm
Or go to the MTL home page and then select "data bases" on the navigation bar on top. Databases are available in Excel and pdf format.
