Are you sure it's a GP11? RLCX 1802 http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=131948 is a GP11 and looks quite different. 1801 doesn't have the air filter that 1802 does, which I usually associate with IC/ICG rebuilds.
Too bad about not finding the history yet, though it's nice to see someone do their own research before asking a question for once.
That looks like a Seaboard Coast Line GP7 rebuild to me. Believe they were referred to as GP16's. Paducah shops wasn't the only place rebuilding Geeps. :shade:
I would try to contact Railcar Custom Leasing (RCLX) if that intrested. Located in Chicago www.railcarcustomleasing.com
Well it is not a ex CSX GP16. When they where rebuilt they did not have dymanic brakes on them. Even thou it looks close it is not. But it is an interesting loco there.
Well, We know for sure it isn't an ex-WM chop job and likely not ICG. I thought this might be an old BN GP9 that had it's nose chopped before it was removed from ther BN roster. Did it lose it's winterization hatch in the process? The numbers match to BN. Couldn't find anything that had that style of sill over the fuel tank which also is smaller than standard.
