Hi all, This thread is a chance for everyone to show off their new toys. For me just one word... DREMEL! What a fantastic tool I wish I had one when I first began this hobby. My darling also gave me a new pair of Xuron rail nippers. I stuffed my other pair trying to trim a screw tip sticking through the benchwork (not a good idea) Have a happy and safe holiday. Cheers, Ken.
I got Need For Speed Carbon for PS2 and i got $55.00 and i got a 5 car set of husky stacks for my train set i got a 512mb card for my camera i got a camera i got a $10 gift card to walmart i got more stuff but it was minor stuff but ive had a good christmas and i hope yall have too
The nicest thing we got was a letter from the Salvation Army thanking us for our contribution to the Empty Stocking Fund, which provides Christmas for those less fortunate in the community.
Too much cheese cake and two DVDs: "Once Upon a Texas Train" and "Last Train from Gun Hill." Great stuff!
got the 2006 hess truck (sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!) clothes snow dogs dvd fast and the furious tokyo drift guiness book of world records 2007(like im gonna beat any) thinking about getting a hudson steam engine model with my money ($18.70 at hobbytron.com) building my own model fire department (even though i have everything started except a firehouse to put them all in)
There was nothing for me under the tree. I watched the shear glee of my daughter opening her gifts intoxicated with spirit of Christmas. What more could a father ask for?
145 bucks, 130 will go to a hobby shop after we move and the other 15 was lost playin hold 'em with family tonight (my wife is winning the game so far) Wife bought me the "little joe" lifelike set that is set up for a Christmas layout and the reason all my Christmas money and birthday (in Jan) is going to hobby shops and hobby etailers. Bought myself the NCE powercab and two Atlas RS-11s (DCC equipped) with the money I earned with the seasonal job. Great time witht the family and more to follow in a week when we move to Washington with my family. Take care and God bless
Well, I had a very nice, friend and family filled Christmas. My very supportive wife gave me an airbrush with compressor on the way. Friends and family gave other meaningful reminders of their love. I am fortunate indeed.
Well lets see since my birthday is only a week before Christmas it all gets pushed into one. Birthday Gifts were : Kadee #58 Couplers, Intermountain Flat Car BN, Genesis Trinity Hopper in BNSF, $40 to Home Depot. Christmas Gifts were: NCE Power Cab system, Intermountain Flat car BNSF, Kadee #58 Couplers, minor stuff and $45 to Home Depot. Overall a really great year. Have a safe New Years, Mike
First, the annual train ornament. My wife picked up SP locomotive ornament for next year but I can't see it until then. Second, a hand made end table to put next to the lazy-boy. Third, a stack of goodies. And lastly, some cash to spend at the lumber yard and hobby store. Most importantly, a great day with family and friends. I was truely blessed.
I got the UP train ornaments from Hallmark, stock car, steam turbine and tender. Also the book "The Men Who Loved Trains" about the Penn Central debacle up through the CSX/NS take over of Conrail. Really interesting reading about the behind the scenes manuvering and the changes to the railroad industry brought on by those events.
Well Tina got me an Atlas N scale car, Walthers Corner Stone Walton's Lumber kit, a Branchline laser cut depot, track bumpers and a cool Lego BNSF GP38 kit. She got a few N scale Atlas cars, a Walthers Gas Station kit and a Micro Trains Z scale Katy Covered hopper. The best gift though was finally running the N scale layout for the first time with the family on Christmas Eve. Christmas is more fun when half the family you married into are half as crazy about trains as you are! Jim
Well I got 7 Walthers containers for my double stack cars and 1 DVD with the 4449 and 8444 then on the other side it has a video about the NRHS convention from 1992. Have not watched that part yet. Also got a Catalpillar front end loader for my module and to be layout. I think that even thou it is a scale model, I think that it is just a slight bit smaller than HO but I think that it looks nice anyways. Just needs some dullcoat put on it.
