I would like to put a drive into this "two way adaptor" to use it as a freight car shunter and I'm not sure what drive I should use...

    should I use a
    - Kato kritter drive or a
    - Tomix kritter drive ?

    couplers ?
    - MicroTrains,
    - Rapido or
    - AccuMate ?

    decals ?
    - my own Wolf Line decals or
    - Bikkini Line decals ?

    serious ?
    - yep or
    - no way ?

    change my medication ?
    - soon or
    - never ?

Well, since its not 120V, you'll need some kind of power adator so you wont burn up your motor. :)

Man, that's funny! It would be even funnier if you completely overdid it with BLMA fans, cut levers, grabs and other superdetails.

I've got a full table of all critical Critter dimensions in N scale feet; send me your e-mail and I'll forward them to you.

For practical purposes the TM03 chassis is almost identical in length to a Life-Like SW chassis; the wheelbases are the same, so you can use it for planning purposes

The TM03 has a flywheel, which is nice. It has a horizontal motor mount that is problematic in switchers, but should work fine for this 'boxcab'.

My kids put a remote-control Radio shack Zip-Zaps car chassis in a furry mouse cat toy body. Now THAT is fun... a remote-control furry mouse to run around the house and terrorize the cat!

    I think it's a BN unit!

Steve, I see the numberboard is #1204, is that a former BN or CN unit? Painted white I guess it could be a KCS but I don't know.:D :D :D

Sandro, what does "hueresiechs" mean? I can catch the drift, but hope hueresiechs doesn't mean what I think it does? What is that in standard German, please?

I catch the drift of this: would you care to translate to us who speak only "American standard German" which is pitifully taught. I don't know Austrian or other southern dialects.

If you want to speak to each other in a language other than English, you can certainly do it in private messages.

ohh please, hold your horses, "hueresiechs" is only a phrase or an expression similar to "What the ..." did you smoke... !

Let's cool down, folks! This has been a challenging thread for the moderators, so I thought I'd ask Sandro and Steve4 what was the translation of the Austrian (?) dialect. Steve4 has answered what it meant, and I thank him for that. Once put in "American standard German", which is what I learned, I could translate it myself and see it was harmless.

I apologize to Sandro and Steve if they feel their motives were called into question. Let's all put the innuendo to end once and for all--it belongs elswhere, and it poisons our forums here. And let's also put the undercurrent of personal animosity between some members aside. I see no reason for it, and hope that you don't either. We're a large community here. It better to look out for one another and make friends than to snip [sic] and make enemies.

We are trying to run a family friendly forum. We allow people 13 years old to join, and even younger with parental consent. These type of threads quickly spiral out of control, and we can end up endlessly editing them or just deleting them. We just can't have that, just as we can't have threads trading guns for trains.

Only interested in the translation, based on your comments Peter, perhaps I do not want to know.

And just what in the wide, wide world of sports is wrong with trading guns for trains? Or vice-versa?
