    The greatest car ever!

Living in Canada, any car bearing the Tim Hortons herald would be considered a divine symbol! Railfanning would increase 1000% :tb-wink:

You would need a tank car behind it filled with coffee.

California Southern.....Old Florida East coast orange/red/yellow.....With big CS lettering.
In my fantasy CSRY they dominate Southern California. SP only passes through Los Angeles with limited switching. UP and AT&SF only have trackage rights to LA From Las Vegas (UP) and Albequerque (AT&SF). Oh Also CSRY has trackage rights on SP coast line to San Francisco-El Paso on Sunset line, Salt Lake City on UP.

Now I just love these two! Back in the fifties, American Flyer had us kids all thinking that NP had a fleet of passenger PA's pulling varnish somewhere. But everytime I went down to Seattle's King Street Station, all that greeted me was "F units"... Both the GN and NP PA's are beautifully done and I intend to do the same with mine. In addition, you'll also see an E7 in NP passenger colors! Magnificent!

It's too bad Baldwin had the style but not the innards. If you think a PA looked great on the front of a passenger train, imagine what kind of impression Sharks would have left. But alas, BP20's ran only for PRR and no one else. The B-B Sharks didn't run out west and their duties comfined them to lugging coal and iron ore. But, in the model railroading world, you can do anything right? I just picked up an ABA set of Sharks that will get painted into the NP passenger scheme. And on my line, they will pull passenger trains! Although I have F's, RS3's as well as, Alco and Baldwin switch engines like the prototypical NP had, a few other locos will one day wear the NP color scheme, be it freight or passenger. 4 FM Trainmasters as well as 5 H16-44's will get the freight scheme. 2 H10-44's will get the switcher color scheme. The same is true of my AS616's and AS16's. I also have a small electrified zone that when completed, will host 3 GE E33's that paint-wise, will have an NP freight scheme. Lastly, my Erie Builts will wear the NP passenger scheme and the CF16's will wear the freight colors.

    Thanks again Delamaize,

Great stuff. What else have you done? I see that you live in Olympia Washington. Prime NP territory. I was born and raised in Seattle. Took my first cab ride in an NP Alco high hood at age 8. Great-grandpa was a career L&N guy. I think I got it honestly. A number of people have made reference to the AF trains of yesteryear that featured NP PA's and whole passenger trains. They were the most beautiful things. Of course I learned, in a rather disappointing way, that NP never owned Alco passenger units but ran everything behind F units. I intend to paint a set also. That'll also include a set of Erie Builts and a set of E7's, diesels that NP never owned.

But I'm not done. You'll also see AS16's, AS616's, Sharks, FM's of every type and GE E33's in passenger and freight schemes! Don't yet know how I'll do the two EMD BL2's but they'll get there too.

I did a bunch of HO scale EMD 80/90 MAC's for friends in fantasy schemes. I also have been doing a lot of "fantasy" cars lately for my own amusement.

Here's a few lousy photos before I had a good camera. These are most of the 90 MAC's I did. I did do a Western Maryland "fireball" 80 MAC too. Looked real nice. Can't find a photo though.

I got kinda tired of doing these "fantasy" units after a short time.

For a fictional shortline, I came up with this.

This scheme, but on a GP-7 with dynamic brakes:

Maybe something like this for express service:

    Brad,

uhh.... as an SEC fan myself ...... I'm searching for a good answer :)

The Alabama Gulf started as a little spin-off railroad with a Red and White scheme. After the KCS infused some cash into the road, the ALGF adopted the KCS Yellow sill and nose stripes !

The Georgia Road belongs to Hank Stephens - A cool scheme that I wanted to add to the mix.

I collect Freelance schemes to operate as visitors and pool service over the ALGF. Won a couple off of E-bay, but do not know the history, and I like to paint and decal others, such as the UB, Grorgia Road and Great Lakes Eastern when I can obtain decals ......

    Bob.

I HOPE SO.... Maybe the new FEC management will adopt it.

It's time for the UP scheme to fade..:)

Here's one I did last year. An SD50 that should have been done instead of that awful Armour and Yellow scheme.... ;)
