Pair of Milw RD AC 4400's

Pair AC 4400's I custom painted for a guy out in New York St. In Milwaukee Road.

I like those very much!.

Some of the heritage schemes work really well on modern locos, Milwaukee Road especially.

I like the "what if" paint scemes like that.

 

I have also painted NP Lowey Green Scheme on a pair of P-42's and Modified NP Canoe Scheme on a pair of SD-70MAC's. Just got a new double action airbrush so I am hoping to improve my painting skills.

Overland/Tower 55 has a Milwaukee Road GEVO unit that was on display at Trainfest. There were too many people at the time to get a clear photo, but it hits a soft spot with me.

If you stop and really look at the new paint logo for BNSF it a Milwaukee Road paint job... Black and Orange it is not the Milw orange but close.

Oh, and ya, I can see a couple of later model SDs and Aces in GN EB (simplified) in my future hauling double stacks up my 6 percent grade. Yes!
