I took a picture of this boxcar? in Duluth, MN summer of 2005. They were in storage near the Lake Superior Railroad Musuem. What were they used for? Is this one of the first aluminium boxcars or are they just painted silver? Copyright 2008 Jerry DeBene

What's funny about this is the BN is one "weird" railroad. They do the most experiments than any other road I know. One mag. I have shows another BN wierd 1/4 mile long articulated coal train. One constant on going floor and two constant on going walls with a frame between each truck. Results: FAILED. They were trying to haul more coal with fewer cars.
