I was wondering if anyone has done a scene on their layout or separate Diorama with the Norscot 1/87 Caterpillar Equipment?
I have the excavator, the bulldozer, the dump truck, the road grader, and scraper so far, lacking about 4 other pieces.

I was considering making a diorama but have no clue as to where to start.

any pics or suggestions would be appreciated.

Jai you have to conceive what that heavy equipment is doing. What type of building site is being prepared or is it a road job maybe cutting across the right of way.

How about the construction of a gas pipeline along the right of way. I saw this going on in Wyoming when I drove through there about a month ago. They seemed to have just about every kind of heavy equipment out there. Including a sky crane helicopter.

    Darn, missed by a weekend.....

    Jai
Last weekend at our yearly NMRA show a fellow had a Cat dealer on his module, nice building with Cat colors and logos and all those Norscot pieces scattered around in between nicely manicured lawns and cement pathways for the sales staff to direct prospective buyers. Looked quite a bit like our Salt Lake Cat dealer. Had I known I might have been able to grab a photo.

    Jai,
I've bought a collection of the Norscott Cat equiptment, (about 20 so far) with the intention of doing exactly what 2slim has suggested. For now, it's just a siding on the layout with a BUNCH of Cats parked alongside.

You might check out my Gallery, I tinkered around with some of cheaper Norscott equipment from Walmart. John Warren
