I've been busy painting up a couple more locos for the layout - the 21st different RR for the layout.

This time it's the Chicago and Illinois Midland - C&IM - with a USRA Mike (Broadway) an SW12 (P2K) and caboose (started out as Atlas TM)

Nice work as expected. How well does the BLI Mikes perform? Are they good pullers?

I've been running this one around the circle of late. It has a traction tyred rear driver, so I presume it's a good puller. It can certainly handle 20 of my overweight freight cars on the level.

It's still a bit jerky at slow speeds though, causing unwanted uncoupling at times.

BLI NW2 shell(rather than the Kato version), GP20 low short hood, and a modified RS3 chassis - not that I've been investigating this possibility, you understand.

I would love to see one of those done, reminded me that I need a NW5 for my layout sometime, same type of kitbash. :)

    Don't believe I'd ever seen C&IM steam. That's a fancy paint scheme!
