I was running an errand and stopped to photograph this train sittting on the siding. There is a red sticker in the engineer's windshield that appears to say "Danger High Voltage".(sorry the resolution is bad). In a picture I took from the other side it appears that the sticker has migrated to the conductor's windshield.
Here's a closer look at the windshields. Should of cropped them to begin with. Also take a look at the fuel tank for the ES40DC. Could NS be considering a new design for their fuel tanks?
I like the flames... but maybe they should put them at the top of the hood near the stacks, since they'd be more realistic!
bierbass, I can tell you used the flash in those pics so I know whats up with the "high voltage" sticker. When you took the shot, the flash reflected off of the reflective sticker on the "bulkhead" (back of the interior of the cab) and thats why you can see it in the pictures. If you ever see a cab picture of the back (long hood side/engine side) they have those stickers posted to warn of the electrical components in the cabinets.
Well I'll be...... That wouldn't have occured to me in a million years. That makes perfect sense. Thanks. Dan
