I've posted some photos of the new Union Pacific Heritage locomotive dedicated to the Southern Pacific. It's a mix of the Daylight and Black Widow paint schemes. What do you think? http://www.shastarails.com/photos/pbu.asp?Update=8/19/2006&tl=57 If you are interested in prints, click the "Add to Cart" button and either send me the order by mail or use PayPal right waway. I LIKE IT Long live the Espee !!! Now if they'd just paint another 500 or so like that life would be grand!
Yes! Excellent idea. I could see chasing a whole fleet of these over that ugly yellow. In fact, if we still has separate DRGW and SP in the schemes they've put on the heritage units, life would be Grande!!!!
I don't see the black widow influence at all, that looks exactly like the 4449. The curve of the stripe at the front and Even the white pinstriping on the front evokes the front of a daylight. So when will she be posing with the 4449?
This ain't no GS-4! Sorry Boys, this here is a rip off of 4449, and it's a pretty lame one to boot! Trying to make a Tecno-toaster in to a Classic Beauty is just plain wrong! I'll bet if you look hard enough you'll find the TYCO emblem! I also like the E better! Long live the Classic Espee! 2slim
Worst.........one.............ever Why, when I look at it, am I reminded somewhat of the Rock Island when I look at the nose? They musta not have know whether or not to have a Black Widow or a Daylight engine, so they picked both. And chose wrong. I like SP and all, but this one reeks. Gimme 4449 in Daylight colors any day.
Will be looking for a nice picture w/o the fellow on the front steps. Bet a lot of picture takers were unhappy with him riding there.
At first, I was like, "WHAT THE H***"! But it kinda' grow's on ya! It would be nice to see her as the helper for 4449 goin' to Bend. And bring the E-unit too!! :teeth:
