I am looking for Steam Locomotives in accurate HO scale that match up to Seaboard engines. I am particularly looking for an 0-6-0 USRA switch engine with the stock USRA tender, not the slope back version.
[IMG] My Dad ran this particular engine for many years and I would really like to have a copy of it.

Life Like makes a 060 but you would have to kitbash that tender for sure. Probably some of the boiler details too. But it is USRA design.

Otherwise you'll have to buy brass, and that's costly.

I just noticed the roadnumber is the same on both model and photo.

If you can get the undecorated version of the LifeLike Proto2000 0-6-0, it comes with a variety of options for the headlight placement and the coal bunker sidewalls that might allow you to get closer to the original...

Whao, I hadn't heard about that. I bought mine on sale so had little choice on roadname. Do they come with lots of spare parts to finesse your loco with?

My undec came with quite a few spare parts to model different tender versions. I believe LifeLike came out with a SAL version. I couldn't find one so I opted for the undec. I'll just have to do some work to get a SAL version.

Lifelike is releasing new versions with sound; however, I don't believe SAL is in the mix. ACL will be included though.

Thanks to each of you for your response. I'll look at "Lifelike" and see what they offer. All I've seen to date of "Lifelike" was the odd tenders, the headlamp is different and the whistle in the wrong place on the engine. Otherwise that engine is very close.
