I normally use 91% alcohol in my cleaning car. Has anyone used nail polish remover in it to clean tracks? can anyone see positives or negitives about doing this? [IMG]

    Paul:

Nail polish remover has additives in it that might leave a residue on the track. I tried it and now I use alcohol.

Oh! You guys are using alcohol in it? I had really wanted to try this but was concerned about the flammability of the alcohol and the proximity of the motor. Was not certain of enough vapors would be produced to cause any type of ignition if they contacted sparks in the motor, but did not want to find out the hard way!

Is it possible to use the "Goo Gone" orange cleaner in this car?

Goo Gone leaves a residue also.

Try it again. Operating on straight DC how powerful is the vacuum function on this car. Is the vacuum function track powered or battery?

I think the vacuum works pretty well and was shocked when I saw how much dirt was in it the first time. Even when you don't use the vacuum attachment it still works slightly.

The motor on it is powered through the track.

I think it works pretty good. I use a LL PA1 to pull it around and to get down and dirty you can just move it back and forth with your hands (0-5-0)
