Bridges and grades

    Can't say I've ever seen it, but, are there RR bridges built on grades or are they all level? Anyone have any links to examples? Thanks!

    Yep, bridges can indeed be built with an incline. They don't have to be restricted to just level runs.

    Good example are the NYC subway system's elevated lines... Plenty of climbs and descents using plate-girder trestles.

    Sure enough, there's plenty of bridges on a gradient here in the rugged terrain of western NC.

    Thanks guys. I guess it's true when they say "If you can think it the prototype has done it". It's always better to be safe than sorry though.
