Since my envolvment with SMD Products, I have sold hundreds of N-Scale signals. It would be nice to see where they ended up. Anyone have pictures of installed signals on their layout?
Alan: I have purchased two signals and neither are installed. I would probably use them to show block polarity or something. I don't have any operational use. I will try to get some pictures here.
....but route them through Lake Elsinore first!!! I'll be sure to forward them on to up mike when I'm finished with them Actually, I will be purchasing some from you when the time comes....
I do not have them on my layout, but I have seen them in person and like them. Alain... any word on if they are going to do the NYC triangle signals like I posted on the Railwire for you?
Alain: Check these out. Maybe you recognize the product. I bought these from an electrical engineer at the Belmont Shore Club about 8 years ago, I think. He was just starting out and then I think he gave it up. They don't have the variety of your product, but not bad for a first time product.
NYC triangle: Serge of SMD products has gone through a separation recently and also sold his sign business just last week. Because of this large adjustment, he is reducing development. His present signals are still available. If there was a significant request (10 or more) I'm certain they would be moved up in the list of priorities. Mystery signal: They are nice.. I'm not certain who made the signal but the ladder is not a typical SMD because of the top V shape on either sides. SMD-N-100 Page
Alain: That one is nice! I will add all this to the list of projects. I am not very good on electronics, so I have to go slowly here.
Well, not really on a layout, but I did some setup shots with my lone SMD signal next to a doublestack car just to see what it would look like. (the "lit" signal is actually photoshopped so your results may vary) I like the looks of them and I plan on equipping my layout with them when the time comes. Alain, you did say that you offer the 3-over-3's now without the hoods, right? [ April 19, 2005, 08:25 AM: Message edited by: Doug A. ]
That's right, the 3/3 is available but not yet on the web site. You could order one with the snow hoods and put a note.... they are the same price.
