I agree the vehicle has that square-shouldered look of the Alco carbodies. With the short hood, I was thinking more FA1/FA2, though. I agree it needs air horns on the roof, and a bell tucked up under a front fender.
Benny, My truck gets about 16 hiway, 14 city, 12 in 4x4 and 8 in low range..... its the price of offroad supremicy.
My car gets 16 in the city and around 20 on the highway and it was built in 1963. if I put a jeep undercarriage under there, I would also have access to offroad supremecy. Sorry, that must be the Arizona Redneck in me speaking...hehehehe [ ]
Cajon Pass is a beast of a hill. My Durango gets down to 4MPG on the mpg gauge on the computer! I can just walk over big rocks on the dirt trails though! Tony Burzio Chama Bound! San Diego, CA
Yes it was! This pic was shot in 1991. This is what I drove in college. It was more an E-8. I actually put #833 on it later.

Gee, I thought I had gone over the top with the Radio Flyer on my little red '88 Isuzu pick up (I miss that little truck), but you beat me hands down!
Too far? Just how far would your wife had gone? (Oops, sorry, didn't mean it THAT way!! ) When I read the headline, I thought this was about how many locomotives you bought again...
